The 8 verses (ba ju kou jue) is a qigong poem written by Dr. Pang Ming, creater of zhineng qigong. It's a
description of the road which leads to wisdom & happiness. And it also describes how we can use our
conscioussness. The movement of qi and its information is also described in this poem.
In fact it's about all & everything in life. Why we are here. How to discover our unused potential.
It's practical use is in organising a qifield. The qi is already there. Our consioussness can give it a specific direction.
How? The qifield communicates with human consciousness through the feeling of trust.

'Trust' is a more than a magic word . . .
If you take a closer look at it, you could say that it's also a mixture of several virtues. Like in a prayer, 'trust'
beholds a question. It takes courage to ask a question. Yet it also beholds the patience to wait and listen to the
answer. In the practice of patience, we are letting go of our anticipations. A very powerful mix indeed.
Chinese characters - a picture speaks a thousand words
It is a challenging task to let words evoke the same power as a picture does. An issue when translating Chinese
into any western language. Let's give it a shot...

| reach | heaven | stand | earth |
The first verse :
'The crown of your head touching the sky, and feet sinking deep into the earth'
A holy trinity: Heaven, earth & human consciousness.
The opening phrase says it all, basically. This is what we are : a connective medium between heaven & earth.
If it is our intention to 'reach for the skies' , we can only do so when we are firmly rooted.
While the character 'li' means literally 'to stand firmly', it also refers to a person
who follows the motto : 'practice what you preach', and is a person who stands by his beliefs.
By the way, these characters are used also in normal daily communication. No special language skills required.
Gives you another view on the meaning of 'tradition'.
During 'peng qi guan ding fa' (lift qi up pour qi down method) ,we make a lot of movements,
which have more meaning, depth & beauty when we think about this connection of heaven & earth.
